Randy Martinez
Managing Partner

Randy is an 18 year public/community relations executive who has spent his career building and managing social and advocacy organizations. Having started his career in Washington, DC., his success and reputation was in developing value propositions for Corporate America and creating a “need exchange” among nonprofit organizations and corporations he represented. He spent a majority of his years in Washington lobbying social and business issues pertinent to the Latino communities and markets, and building strategies to streamline communications and access to business and government.  His years in Washington lead him to manage three trade organizations and successfully launch two, which included the United States Chamber for Electronic Commerce where along with a few other young pioneers they successfully lobbied for the first ever Internet commerce tax moratorium.

Most recently, Randy was a corporate relations executive for CVS Caremark, which is the parent company to the retail chain CVS/pharmacy. He spent his time at the company overseeing all community relations activities throughout the Central Division and supported a $25M, five year philanthropic initiative. Some of the duties at CVS Caremark that lead Randy to build RU was implementing an internal volunteer system that allowed company employees to search volunteer opportunities, register a profile and track volunteer hours. Randy was responsible for building the company’s first ever enterprise-wide networking group program by establishing a networking group governance committee that spawned newer groups.  Randy and his partner Kimberly have been designing, building and testing RU since spring 2008.
